EVERETT — Detectives say they have found additional home movies, including one involving bestiality, belonging to a Monroe man accused of secretly taping his sexual encounters with women.
Prosecutors on Wednesday filed an animal cruelty charge against Robert Allen Anderson, 48, and also
accused him of possessing child pornography. Anderson already is charged with three counts of voyeurism and illegal gun possession.
He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.
Detectives reported finding evidence of animal cruelty on a computer hard drive seized from Anderson’s home in November, according to court documents. Detectives located the hard drive after Anderson allegedly bragged that police missed it during their first search of his home in October.
That person reported the information to detectives who went back and seized the hard drive.
That’s where they found a video that showed one of Anderson’s girlfriends having sexual contact with his dog, according to the charging papers. Prosecutors allege that Anderson can be heard on the tape encouraging the woman to fondle the dog and reassuring her that the animal wasn’t going to bite, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Lisa Paul wrote.
The video also allegedly shows Anderson fondling himself while telling the woman to make the dog lay down, court papers said. He continued to encourage the woman to touch the dog. She did even though she expressed fear of the dog several times, according to the charging papers.
Paul has not decided if she will charge the woman with a crime.
Police also said they found child pornography on one of the numerous tapes they seized during their first raid on Anderson’s home. Detectives were able to identify the girl in the homemade video, which was likely made in the 1990s. The girl was about 13 at the time, Paul wrote.
Anderson came to the attention of police in October after his girlfriend at the time found some of his tapes. She sought out Anderson’s ex-girlfriend, whose name was on some of the tapes. That woman told police she had dated Anderson off and on from 2006 until September, court papers said. Anderson’s girlfriend gave the woman four tapes.
The tapes contained the couple’s sexual encounters. The woman told police she never agreed to be taped.
Detectives have identified more than 10 women on the videos who said they were unaware that Anderson was taping them and had a reasonable expectation of privacy, Paul wrote.
Anderson allegedly told investigators that the women gave him permission because they should have seen the cameras and they didn’t object, Paul wrote in court papers.
Anderson is free on bail. He is expected back in court next week.
Prosecutors plan to ask a judge to revoke his release. A detective reported seeing Anderson at a casino, drinking beer while in the company of a woman with whom he is prohibited from having contact.
Drinking at a casino with the woman violated conditions of his release, Paul said.
