Boeing had a ceremony Friday in San Antonio, Texas, to celebrate as workers there ready 787s for delivery.
Employees there are doing what Boeing calls “change incorporation work” – which means fixing all the things Boeing found during its flight test program.
That work includes upgrading some 787 software, adding new power panels and wiring and changing some mechanical equipment.
Boeing plans to deliver the first 787 in the third quarter of 2011, more than three years late.
