LYNNWOOD — The role of a second motorcyclist in a March 6 fatal crash in Lynnwood remains under investigation.
The crash killed a Sultan man on Highway 99. John D. Lammon, 34, died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup that was entering the roadway.
Speed was a factor in the crash, and police suspect that racing was involved, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
The motorcyclists appeared to be going over the speed limit at the time of the crash, she said Tuesday. No citations are expected for the pickup driver.
After the crash, police asked for the public’s help finding a second motorcyclist whom witnesses reported seeing in the area at the time of the crash.
Lynnwood police have since located him, Sessions said. It doesn’t appear the two motorcyclists knew each other before the crash.
