SNOHOMISH — Children will not be able to hunt for Easter Eggs at Harvey Field this year.
The four churches that had organized the event in the past few years could not hold the event because of lack of volunteers. The event was scheduled for Saturday morning at Harvey Field.
The decis
ion to cancel it was made a month ago, Snohomish Chamber of Commerce manager Pam Osborne said.
The chamber is going ahead with its plans for the Easter Parade in downtown Snohomish, Osborne said.
Currently, the chamber is looking for community members to volunteer so this egg hunt can make a comeback next year, she said.
The Easter Parade is planned to start at 11 a.m. on First Street. A bonnet judging competition is part of the festivities at the end of the parade.
There is also another egg hunt scheduled in the city starting at 3 p.m. Saturday at Clearview Foursquare Church, 17210 Highway 9.
There are other events planned in the county for this Easter weekend. These are:
