EVERETT — Frontier Communications is continuing its hiring spree in Everett with plans to add another 50 employees by the end of September.
That’s in addition to 75 workers hired in June and July. All of the new positions are for customer service representatives based at the phone, cable and
internet provider’s Everett call center.
Frontier trains its new employees to be able to handle all issues that customers have — adding new services or products or handling questions with billing. This should eliminate customers being transferred from department to department at Frontier, said Stephanie Beasly, company spokeswoman.
Customers can “speak to one person for all their needs,” she said.
Frontier has touted its locally based workforce since the company bought Verizon’s land-line operations in 14 states, including Washington, in 2010,
“Our employees live in the areas where they work,” Rich Klena, Frontier’s senior vice president for Washington, said in July. “They have a personal interest in the economic development and vitality of their markets and they participate in local organizations.”
