Ingraham returning: The USS Ingraham is set to return home to Naval Station Everett on Friday.
The guided-missile frigate has been on a six-month deployment to Central and South America.
The Ingraham crew worked to hinder organized crime and deter drug trafficking, Navy officials said. Ingraham’s efforts led to eight disruptions of narcotic shipments.
Cmdr. Kristin Stengel, skipper of the Ingraham, said her crew enjoyed working with sailors from other countries. The Ingraham took part in training exercises with the Panamanian Navy and participated in an officer exchange program with the Columbian Navy.
