Football | Marysville Pilchuck

The Tomahawks defensive back had three interceptions, including a game-sealing pick late in the fourth quarter, of Saturday night’s 33-21 win over Timberline in a state playoff first-round game. Nobach also had a 55-yard touchdown reception on offense.

Counting the votes: Kyle Nobach won the fan voting and also received votes from Herald prep editor Aaron Swaney and Herald writer Aaron Lommers. Herald writer David Krueger voted for Billy Green.

Girls swimming | Meadowdale

The Mavericks swimmer repeated as state champ in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races at this past weekend’s state swim and dive meet.

Mckenzie Wilkinson

Volleyball | Glacier Peak

The Grizzlies setter averaged a little more than 32 assists as Glacier Peak went 2-2 at the state tournament and earned a fifth-place trophy this past weekend. She also had 14 digs and two service aces in a key win over Columbia River that allowed GP to get a trophy.

Anisa Uberauga

Girls soccer | King’s

The Knights forward scored the game’s only goal in a win over Meridian to advance King’s to the 1A state semifinals. She also had a goal in the team’s 4-0 win over Montesano in the opening round.
