MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Snohomish County Public Works will close the Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station in Mountlake Terrace for most of the month for floor repairs.

• North County station in Arlington at 19600 63rd Avenue NE.
Customers can also bring accepted recyclable items and small loads of garbage to Public Works drop boxes at three other locations:
• Snohomish at 19619 Dubuque Road;
• Granite Falls at 7526 Menzel Lake Road; and
• Sultan at 33014 Cascade View Drive.
Residents can recycle the following items for free at the county’s recycling and transfer facilities:
• Batteries, though not electric vehicle batteries;
• Beverage cans;
• Cardboard and mixed paper;
• Cooking oil;
• Fluorescent bulbs;
• Glass;
• Lawn mowers;
