Snohomish County’s unemployment rate dipped slightly in July to 5.6 percent, according to a report released this week by the state Employment Security Department.
The jobless rate in the county was 5.7 percent in June.
About 5,000 jobs have been added in Snohomish County from July 2012 to July 2013. The county’s unemployment rate a year ago was 8.6 percent.
The construction sector added 700 positions from June to July. That segment has added 1,400 jobs from July 2012 to July 2013.
Manufacturers in the county added 300 positions from June to July. The county’s service-providers added 500 jobs for the month as well.
