Lake Stevens junior Tevin Gray was one of 500 athletes invited to participate in the combine at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio this past weekend. The wide receiver traveled to Texas where he went up against some of the top recruits in the nation.
Gray (click here for his highlight video), who has been on the Vikings’ varsity squad since he was a freshman, finished his junior season with 61 receptions for 838 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 5-11, 195 pound receiver was named to the All-Wesco second-team.
The U.S. Army All-American bowl is a weekend full of events that features the combine, coaches clinic and many other festitivies leading up to the All-American Bowl on Saturday night, which has a history of featuring some of the best players in America. Past participants in the game include Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles and Percy Harvin, as well as local players such as KeiVarae Russell (Mariner) and Devante Downs (Mountlake Terrace).
