Notes: Everett gets some much-needed help on defense as overager Ben Betker returns after serving his one-game suspension for a checking-to-the-head major penalty. However, the Tips are still without defensemen Kevin Davis and Tristen Pfeifer because of upper-body injuries, meaning the Tips have just five defensemen dressed. Winger Dawson Leedahl will return to forward after filling in on defense in Saturday’s 5-1 loss to Prince George. Carter Hart is given the start in goal.

Herringer

Scratches: Wheaton, Wishnowski, Chartier, Kirkland, Jo. Morrissey, Ja. Morrissey.

Notes: The league’s top team has some high-profile injuries, most notably to leading goal scorer Rourke Chartier (upper body) and top-pairing defenseman Josh Morrissey (lower body). Forwards Justin Kirkland (lower body) and Tanner Wishnowski (upper body), defenseman Mitchell Wheaton (upper body) and goaltender Jake Morrissey (lower body) are also out, meaning the Rockets play a skater short.
