Some say “The Simpsons” has been limping along for years, creativity-wise, but give the venerable show credit: It came up with yet another reason for us to dislike Lena Dunham.


Don’t know much about history: On this day in 1965, the British government announced that the Beatles would be made Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II, an action that prompted some unamused older MBEs to return their medals.

The surplus medals came in mighty handy when they were needed for Eric Clapton, Ray Davies, Elton John, Roger Daltrey and scores of other Brit rockers.
