The prep athletes of the week for Jan. 18-24.

Drew Magaoay

Shorecrest | Boys Basketball

The junior had a team-high 19 points in Saturday’s victory over Shorewood. With the win, the Scots moved into sole possession of second place in the Wesco 3A/2A south.

Hannah Hezekiah

Mariner | Girls Basketball

The freshman score 19 points in a loss to Lake Stevens, nine points in a loss to Monroe and a game-high 28 points in a loss to Overlake on Saturday. Hezekiah is averaging 22.9 points per game this season.

Cody Vigoren

Lake Stevens | Wrestling

Competing at 220 pounds, the senior pinned Sedro-Wooley’s Gabe Torgerson, Yelm’s Noah Littlefield and Orting’s Kenny Maril to help the Vikings to a 3-0 week.

Conner McGinnis

Jackson | Boys swimming

McGinnis won the 100 butterfly, outtouching Kamiak’s Eben Schumann, with a time of 52.74 and competed on two winning relays as the Timberwolves knocked off Kamiak 100-70 on Thursday, ending the Knights’ streak of 103 straight dual meet wins dating back to February of 2008.

Brandi Orlosky

Jackson | Girls bowling

Orlosky rolled a 202 game at the Wesco Nortwest regional crossover tournament.
