Julie Hanner from Marysville asks: “Are there any plans in the works for a traffic light in Marysville at Highway 9 and 108th? Four people were killed at that intersection a few years back. It is really hard to enter a 55 mph highway from a complete stop and pick up speed before the oncoming traffic catches up to you.”
Tom Pearce from the state Department of Transportation responds: “We’ve been in the process of evaluating potential intersection improvements in this area, including the potential for a traffic signal or a roundabout. We have not made a decision at this point. We do not have funding currently available for design or construction of any improvements at this intersection.”
