Pratt Pest Management raises money for breast cancer research

Dana Pratt of Camano Island, president and founder of Pratt Pest Management Northwest, announced a company-wide effort to raise money to support of Susan G. Komen Puget Sound, which raises money for breast cancer research. Pratt Pest Management has been supporting local community efforts since 1991 and will donate at least $1,000 from new sales generated in October. To learn more, visit www.prattpest.com.

Claim Jumper offers free meal for veterans, active duty

On Nov. 9, Claim Jumper restaurants are thanking U.S. military veterans and active military personnel with a free meal from a special Veterans Menu. The menu, that is available to those who have served or are currently serving our country, is in recognition of Veterans Day and will include Claim Jumper favorites. Reservations are recommended.

Lynnwood Convention Center collects food for Lynnwood Food Bank

From Oct. 5-16, the Lynnwood Convention Center held a World Food Day food drive to collect donations for the Lynnwood Food Bank. World Food Day is a global movement to end hunger in local communities and around the world. The Lynnwood Food Bank distributes more than 870,000 pounds of food each year and serves over 1,000 households each month.

Washington Energy Services holding coat drive for Clothes for Kids

Washington Energy Services is holding a coat drive to benefit non-profit Clothes for Kids. Everyone is invited to drop off new or gently used coats from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Nov. 16 and 20 at the Washington Energy Services showroom located at 3909 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. Clothes for Kids provides warm clothing for local children in need.
