Regarding the article, “As regulators take on medical pot, Everett eyes a moratorium”: So the Everett City Council wants to protect us from the scourge of marijuana retailers who are ravaging the citizenry, leading to the moral decay associated with those despicable pot smokers watching television, the overconsumption of potato chips and M&M’s, bent on being altogether too relaxed. They must be stopped.
It’s a good thing our elected officials are standing up for such virtuous principles. What I’d like to see next is running all those parasites selling alcohol and tobacco products out of town. Just because they’re legal doesn’t make it OK. While they’re at it, I’m sure they’ll put a stop to those good ol’ boys playing gin rummy at the Everett Golf and Country Club. That can’t even be legal, by golly, by gum.
I’m a proud, hard-working, clean-living, voting, tax-paying Everett citizen who believes everyone in this here town ought to live up to my expectations. For anyone who happens to disagree, maybe you’d like to see those bikini barista stands pop up again.
Oh, brother.
