Everett attorney recognized by law directory
Everett resident and attorney Charles Bates has been honored by Martindale-Hubbell for his 25 years of service to Washington state communities and organizations. Bates joined Cocoon House in April as their education and employment coordinator and regularly volunteers with the Washington State Association of Youth Courts, the Washington State YMCA — Youth &Government program and the Boy Scouts of America. Martindale-Hubbell is an information services company to the legal profession that publishes a law directory, which provides background information on United States lawyers and law firms.
New artisan cafe opens in Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Willows Artisan Cafe at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Formally known as the Garden Cafe, the business is located within Skagit Valley Gardens at 18923 Peter Johnson Road. New owner Megan Toler is an Arlington native. She formerly owned and operated Valley Hand Pies and co-owned The Cookie Mill in Stanwood.
Two new businesses open at Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip
Seattle Premium Outlets wants shoppers to know that they recently welcomed two new retailers and have celebrated the re-opening of two others. Armani Exchange and 7 For All Mankind opened in late 2015. Kate Spade New York and Clarks Bostonian re-opened at the end of January after store-remodels. The Outlets in Tulalip feature 130 top designer and name brand outlet stores.
Foggy Noggin names beer after chimney-crushing tree
Bothell’s Foggy Noggin Brewing is releasing a unique beer. Chimney Crusher, an English Triple IPA named in honor of a 100-foot Douglas fir tree that fell in the November 2015 storms and crushed their chimney. Parts of the fallen Douglas fir will be added in the bright tanks as they dry hop this beer. Watch www.foggynogginbrewing.com for further information.
