Snohomish nonprofit director named CDC champion

Teresa Rugg, executive director of Snohomish-based TB Photovoice, has been selected as a Center for Disease Control and Prevention TB Elimination Champion. Through her work with TB Photovoice, Rugg has built partnerships with tuberculosis survivors and their families, health departments, media outlets, tuberculosis organizations, anti-poverty organizations, schools, churches, and a network of technology professionals.

Workshop on livestock guardian dogs planned in Everett

Livestock guardian dogs are the topic of a workshop from 7 to 9 p.m. April 28 at 600 128th St. SE, Everett, inside McCollum Park. Instructor Laura Faley uses livestock guardian dogs on her own farm. Citrine Health to celebrate 20 years serving women, families

Citrine Health, The Bra Shop and the Women’s Wellness Center in Everett will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. May 12 at 2940 West Marine View Drive. The event is to celebrate 20 years of service in Western Washington serving women and their families. A Cappella group Voices Northwest will perform. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

Health district honors several individuals, businesses

The Snohomish Health District recognized individuals and businesses in a new 2015 Health Champions ceremony on April 12 at the District’s Auditorium in Everett. The Board of Health also continued discussions on how Women, Infants and Children and First Steps services will be provided in Snohomish County in 2017 and beyond. Learn more at at this website.

Bothell’s EagleView Tech joins Property Drone Consortium

The Property Drone Consortium, a collaboration created to promote research, development and the establishment of regulations, standards and specifications for the use of Unmanned Aircraft System, has announced its roster of charter members. These members include EagleView Technologies of Bothell as well as Allstate, American Family Insurance, Auto-Owners Insurance, Erie Insurance and Pilot Catastrophe Services.
