You can check out but you can never leave: Microsoft said Monday that it is buying LinkedIn, the business social networking company, for a cool $26.2 billion.
LinkedIn has some 430 million members, about 429 million of whom now hope Microsoft will finally make it possible to completely delete their never-used LinkedIn accounts.
Smarty pants 2.0: Apple is giving Siri, the digital personal assistant that lives inside iPhones, an artificial intelligence upgrade.
Among other things, Siri will now know the precise name of the body of water she’s directed you to drive your car into.
Don’t know much about history: On this day in 1922, Warren G. Harding became the first president to be heard on radio when a Baltimore station broadcast his speech dedicating a memorial to Francis Scott Key, who write the lyrics to “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
That’s fitting, since most people who have tried to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” knows it pretty much is the Warren G. Harding of songs.
