Get a deal on Cascade Symphony season pass

Attention, fans — and new fans — of Cascade Symphony Orchestra: This is the last day to purchase tickets for Cascade’s 51st season at special prices.

These early-bird discounted tickets are being offered at a 10 percent savings through today. If you need more convincing of how good a deal this is, check out the five-concert series package:

•The first concert is Oct. 22 and begins with Rossini’s “Barber of Seville Overture,” continues with Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite,” and ends with Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8.

In a new tradition, Cascade’s Holiday Concert will be Dec. 10 and include Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite No. 1” and many popular holiday favorites, some as sing-alongs.

“Northern Lights,” is Jan. 21 and features “Procession of the Nobles” by Rimsky-Korsakov, “Prelude to Afternoon of a Faun”  by Debussy and the Sibelius Symphony No. 2 in D major.

On March 18, the orchestra will perform “All Roads Lead to Rome,” “Tzigane” by Ravel, Sarasate’s “Carmen Fantasy,” Tchaikovsky’s “Francesca da Rimini,” Respighi’s “Pines of Rome” and Weber’s “Euryanthe Overture.”

The season ends with “The Great Romantics” on May 13: Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Wagner’s “Overture to Tannhauser” and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2.

Season tickets are $90 for general admission and $72 for seniors. Prices will go up to $100 and $80, respectively. Tickets can be purchased through the Edmonds Center for the Arts box office at 425-275-9595.

All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave., N., Edmonds.
