50 years ago (1962)
Shareholders of Everett Plywood and Door Corp. returned five members of the their board of directors to office. They were Bryce Taylor, William Johnston, Hugh Daniels, Gordon Davis and Jacob Van Dyke. New members were Ed Leonard and George Miller. Charles Jordan was the new secretary.
Kenneth F. Phillips was elected secretary-treasurer of the newly formed corporation of Everett Industrial Supply. A nephew of the president, J.W. “Bill” Phillips, he had been with the firm as Everett hardware for more than 16 years. He had worked in many phases of the business.
25 years ago (1987)
Jo Ann Beaumont had been named administrator of Bethany in Everett after serving in that role on a temporary basis for the past several months. Beaumont was previously director of nursing at Bethany and associate director of nursing at Crista in Seattle.
Jim Genova was promoted to field service manager of the Everett, Mount Vernon and Bellingham offices of the state Department of Labor and Industries. A 14-year veteran of the department, he was previously insurance claims adjudicator in Olympia.
