SPOKANE VALLEY — Spokane County sheriff’s deputies arrested two teens, 16 and 17, for causing $100,000 in damage to a vacant house for sale in Spokane Valley.
A neighbor found the house ransacked Tuesday with cabinet doors ripped off and standing water. The cost of the damage amounts to two-thirds of the $159,000 sale price.
Deputies who interviewed the teens said they admitted trashing the house.
The mother of one of the teens told KHQ that she wanted her son to stay in jail to keep him out of trouble because of his problems with drugs and alcohol and criminal record.
