Walk Highway 530

People are invited to walk the new stretch of Highway 530 Saturday morning through the site of the Oso mudslide. The walk starts at about 10:15 a.m., after a private event where family and survivors plan to plant 43 trees in memory of the 43 victims of the slide. The walk takes people along the newly reconstructed highway and near the tree grove so they can reflect on the last six months. Parking is available at the Darrington Rodeo Grounds or the Oso Fire Department, with shuttles taking people to the highway.
