EVERETT — A person was taken to the hospital and the Thursday morning commute was clogged after a van caught fire on I-5 in Everett.
Shortly after 6 a.m., a van was on fire near the Highway 526 exit toward Boeing. It blocked all southbound lanes on I-5, creating a 4-mile backup. By 6:40, the fire was out and all lanes were open.
The Everett Fire Department said it took a patient to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
