EVERETT — Police are asking for help finding a car that struck a pedestrian in Everett and took off Saturday night.
The pedestrian, 18-year-old James “Patrick” Boyer, recently graduated from Cascade High School, according to his family. He was scheduled to leave for boot camp for the U.S. Air Force on Tuesday. His departure is being delayed due to the serious nature of his injuries, his family said.
The crash happened about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 6900 block of Broadway, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. The victim and a friend were crossing the road when he was struck.
The car kept going southbound. It is described as a black 1980s or ’90s Cadillac and is missing the driver side mirror.
Boyer was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. He continues to recover.
The investigation is ongoing, Snell said.
