Seattle woman drowns in Lake Ballinger

The 44-year old woman was pulled out of the water by bystanders and CPR was administered, according to authorities.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A woman drowned Saturday in Lake Ballinger, authorities said.

Citing police, MyEdmondsNews reported the woman, 44, was from Seattle and later died. The woman was pulled out of the water around 7:45 p.m. and CPR was quickly started. Lifesaving efforts continued on the way to the hospital, South County Fire spokesperson Shawneri Guzman said.

The woman was taken to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds. She may have had a medical event prior to the drowning, Guzman said.
