MARYSVILLE — A woman’s body was recovered Sunday afternoon after she was presumed to have drowned at Twin Lakes Park in Marysville.
The woman, 20, had been swimming earlier that morning with her sister, according to the Marysville Police Department. An officer on patrol saw the sister and a man at the park, who said they were looking for the woman’s sister after they were in the south lake in the early morning.
Other officers and the Snohomish County Dive Team arrived to help look for the woman. A Marysville Police Department drone operator found the body in about 12 feet of water and just beyond a marked swimming area around 1 p.m., according to the police department.
Members of the dive team recovered her body.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death, as well as the identification.
