I read the Feb. 2 column by Marc A. Thiessen, “Attacks from left, right, make trump a leader.”
To me, it is the same right-of-right thinking that permeates Washington, D.C.
He did not say anything that would give one hope that cooperation between party leaders will be the norm in 2018. He says the Democrats must shrivel up and work with the president. Why? If the Republicans want to keep the Government open, why not work with the Democrats.
The columnist thinks that the U.S. government is conservative when it comes to public policy and very liberal when it comes to the Dreamers. He acts like Trump is a trustworthy adversary when in truth he is just the opposite.
