That’s Hedley

That’s Hedley!

And on and on and on: The release of a 3-D version of James Cameron’s epic “Titanic” and its interminable ballad, “My Heart Will Go On,” prompted an Associated Press reporter to sift through past Oscar winners for Best Song to get Celine Dion’s voice from going on and on in her head. Among her choices were “Moon River” from 1961’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” from 2002’s “8 Mile.” .

The Academy Award’s Best Song category has been a sore subject with The Buzz since 1974 when “We May Never Love Like This Again” from “The Towering Inferno” beat out the theme to “Blazing Saddles.”

Better to be over the hill than under it: The Everett Public Library is offering workshops for baby boomers who have reached 50 and beyond and are preparing for the transition to what they want to do next.

We’re hoping that by the time we reach that milestone the workshops will include a craft session showing nifty things you can do with AARP junk mail.

On assignment: Mike Wallace, the veteran CBS and “60 Minutes” newsman who made a name for himself by ambushing and hounding interview subjects, has died at the age of 93.

Satan already has instructed his secretary to say that he’s out of the office when Wallace shows up.
