EVERETT — The Everett AquaSox won their second straight Friday as they topped the Boise Hawks 10-4 before 2,863 fans at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The Frogs (15-21) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning and never trailed again as they topped Boise (19-17) for the second night in a row.
David Banuelos had three hits including two doubles, four RBI and scored twice. Johnny Adams had three hits including a pair of doubles and scored twice, and Joseph Rosa and Onil Pena had a pair of hits.
Leading 6-4, the AquaSox broke it open with three runs in the bottom of the seventh as Banuelos hit his second two-run double of the game. Everett added another in the bottom of the eighth thanks to an RBI double by Adams.
Everett took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second on Banuelos’ first two-run double. The Frogs tacked on one in the third and two more in the fourth. However, Boise did the same as it cut Everett’s lead to 6-4 through four innings.
Ryan Metzler’s solo home run in the top of the second gave Boise its initial 1-0 lead.
Anjul Hernandez (1-1) earned the win for the AquaSox.
The series continues at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
