The WNBA named Connecticut’s Tina Charles and Los Angeles’ Candace Parker as the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Player of the Week respectively on Monday.
It was the sixth such honor for Charles in her career and first this season. Charles averaged 20.7 points and 14.3 rebounds per game, while leading the Sun to a 2-1 record for the week.
Parker highlighted her week with a 33 point, 16 rebound, eight assist and five block performance in an 87-81 road-win over Charles’ Sun.
