Locals on KC Area Code Baseball roster

A pair of local baseball players were selected to play on the Kansas City Royals Area Code Team.

Lake Stevens’ Branden Kelliher, Cascade’s Ky Dye and Archbishop Murphy’s Trever Morrison are on a team populated with players from the Northwest, Texas and the Midwest.

The KC Royals Area Code Team begins play on Aug. 5.

The 2012 Kansas City Royals Area Code team will be filled with prospects from the Northwest, one from Texas and one from the Midwest. Last year’s squad went a perfect 5-0. This year’s team could do the same.
