EVERETT — A three-alarm hazmat incident at Naval Station Everett ended safely when first responders failed to locate any hazardous materials.
Around 1 p.m. Monday, Navy personnel responded to reports of a suspicious substance discovered in the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit Everett clinic, a Naval Station Everett social media post said. First responders were assessing people in the clinic who may have been exposed to the unknown substance.
Everett Fire Department and other agencies among the Snohomish County Hazardous Materials Response Team responded to the incident as well, according to an Everett Fire Department social media post.
Around 3 p.m., an Everett Fire post reported that hazmat teams were in overhaul.
No injuries have been reported.
