A four-bedroom, 3.5-bath custom two-story on a 4.82-acre lot near
Snohomish is our featured home today. It was built in 2005 and has
valley, river and mountain views.
Inside the leaded-glass double door at the main entry is a small foyer.
To the immediate right is a living room, and to the left is a formal
dining room.
A kitchen and informal dining area are at the back of the house.
Wide-plank, hand-scraped maple flooring is used in the living and dining
rooms, kitchen, informal dining area and hallways.
Highlights of the living room include a gas fireplace with concrete-look
porcelain tile, vaulted cathedral ceiling, recessed lighting, and a
picture window.
Features of the island-design kitchen include white painted cabinets,
tile countertops, stainless appliances, breakfast bar, six-burner gas
stove, and a view window above the sink.
The informal dining area has a bay window and paned French door
accessing an expansive deck with hot tub.
A short hall off the kitchen leads to the owners’ suite. Its bedroom has
a double-door entry, light-brown carpeting, two tall vertical windows
overlooking a side yard and natural wooded area, and a paned French door
that opens to the deck.
The suite’s five-piece bathroom includes heated tile flooring, an oval
soaker tub encased in tile beneath a picture window overlooking the
woods, a shower with two showerheads and tile surround, and a walk-in
closet with organizer system.
A laundry room and half bathroom complete the entry level. The laundry
room has tile flooring and outside access; the half bath is finished
with hand-scraped maple flooring and a pedestal sink.
The home’s attached two-car garage is accessed from the entry level.
A switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the second level, which
encompasses three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a rec room.
One bedroom, suitable for use as a den, library or home office, has
patterned carpeting, windows on two sides and a closet with a swing-out
double door.
Both of the two remaining bedrooms have their own full bathroom. One of
them is a continental bath with dual access. It includes a shower-tub
combination with tile surround, and a separate vanity area.
The spacious rec room has a vaulted cathedral ceiling and Berber
carpeting.
The home has propane forced-air heat, a central vacuum system and a
security system.
