A four-bedroom, 2.75-bath contemporary tri-level on a .66-acre lot near Echo Lake, between Monroe and Woodinville, is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 2006.

The double door at the home’s front entry opens to a foyer with travertine tile flooring and a ceiling that extends to the second level.

To the immediate right is a formal living room with pale neutral cut-pile carpeting, wainscoting, shadowboxing, large windows overlooking the street and front yard, a vaulted cathedral ceiling, and a gas fireplace with marble tile hearth and surround.

A formal dining area is incorporated into the living room and has the same carpet and wainscoting. Two big rectangular windows face the back yard and an adjacent natural wooded area.

The kitchen, informal dining area and a family room are arranged in an open floorplan at the back of the house. The kitchen is highlighted by a large center island, maple flooring, maple cabinets, granite tile countertops, recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, and a pantry. A wraparound ceramic tile backsplash extends from the countertops to the bottom of the upper cabinets, which have indirect lighting.

Above the sink, a window provides views of the back yard and wooded area.

The informal dining area is also finished with maple flooring, and it has a sliding glass door accessing an exposed-aggregate backyard patio.

Features of the family room include Berber carpeting, two picture windows facing the back yard, and a gas fireplace with slate tile hearth and faux river rock surround.

An L-shaped hall leads from the foyer to a bedroom suite and laundry room. The suite’s bedroom has a window facing the street, and its three-quarter continental bathroom can be accessed from the hall.

A switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the upper level, which includes another bedroom suite, larger than the first one, with a walk-in closet and a five-piece bathroom finished with tile flooring, oval soaker tub encased in tile beneath picture windows facing the back yard, and a double-sized shower with tile surround.

The lower level consists of a media room wired for a home theater, and a door accessing the home’s attached three-car garage with workspace.

The home has gas forced-air heat and a security system.
