Our featured home today is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-story unit in the Faraway Condominiums in Mukilteo. It was built in the 1980s and extensively remodeled recently.

The unit is on a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Possession Point and the Olympic Mountains.

A rectangular leaded glass window is positioned to the right of the front door. The door opens to a foyer with porcelain tile and a ceiling extending to the top of the second level.

A short hall with cherry flooring leads to a five-step staircase descending to the main living area, which includes a living room, dining area, kitchen and sitting room.

The dining area has cherry flooring, crown molding and a spindled railing separating it from the living room, which is three steps below.

Features of the kitchen include cherry flooring, natural-stain wood cabinets, granite slab countertops, breakfast bar, recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, and a pass-

through to the dining area.

A large pantry and a laundry closet are steps away from the kitchen.

The sitting area is off the kitchen and has a vaulted cathedral ceiling with skylight, freestanding gas heat stove, and a window overlooking the condominium building’s courtyard.

The living room has a carpeted floor, crown molding, wet bar, two large picture windows facing the view, and a gas fireplace with rock surround that extends to the ceiling.

A glass door in the living room opens to a partially covered deck overlooking the view.

The deck has an electric awning, and provides access to a back yard.

The entry level is completed by a half bathroom with cherry flooring, wainscoting, and a custom oversized single vanity topped with marble slab.

A nine-step staircase with wooden spindles ascends from the foyer to an owner’s suite, the second bedroom, and a three-quarter bathroom.

Highlights of the suite include pale neutral cut-pile carpeting, crown molding, antique-style freestanding gas fireplace, walk-in closet and a large picture window facing the view.

The suite’s bathroom has tile flooring, crown molding, two separate vanities topped with marble slab, and a separate room for the toilet and a jetted tub set up with tiled walls for a potential shower-tub combination.

The second bedroom overlooks the courtyard and has a walk-in closet. The three-quarter bathroom has an oversized shower with tile surround.

The unit has security and central vacuum systems.
