KENNEWICK — American Cowboy magazine has picked Kennewick as one of the best places to live in the West.
Kennewick is one of 20 communities listed in the current issue of the magazine as having qualities of life that exemplify the best in the West.
Magazine editor Philip Armour says they chose places they had heard are wonderful or locations the staff had traveled to themselves.
The staff was looking for communities that have an authentic flavor, a cowboy or ranching core, and a small town feel.
The magazine’s take on Kennewick highlights the Cowboy Gathering and the Spring Barrel Tasting, each annually held in April.
