Town hall by phone
On Wednesday. U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen of Washington’s 2nd District will hold a telephone town hall for residents. He will discuss his efforts to support job creation in Northwest Washington, the Affordable Care Act and his work to promote comprehensive immigration reform, his office said.
Constituents wishing to participate in the call can dial 877-229-8493 and enter the ID code 18502 at 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
Kid-friendly ‘Christmas Carol’: A condensed, kid-friendly adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” will be presented at 2 p.m. and again at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Everett Music Hall theater at Everett Mall, 1402 SE Everett Mall Way. Admission is by free-will donation.

Like Stanwood: The city of Stanwood has joined Facebook, and Mayor-elect Leonard Kelley is soliciting comments on the page from residents on how to make the city better. The Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/CityofStanwood.
The city also redesigned and relaunched its main website, www.ci.stanwood.wa.us, Dec. 1. The city will continue to post announcements, articles and calendar items there as well as the new Facebook page.
