Wesco 4A

Glacier Peak 6, Arlington 1

ARLINGTON — The Grizzlies (13-5 overall, 8-2 league) had a solid day on both sides to close their league-winning Wesco 4A slate. Emma Hirshorn (7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 10 K) dominated in the circle for the entire contest while bringing in two RBI and hitting a double on a 2-for-3 day. Briannica Titus (3-for-4, 2B, 2RBI) also finished with two RBI while Samantha Nielsen (1-for-3, 3B, RBI) had the game’s only triple. Camryn Zodrow (1-for-3, SB, run) scored the lone run for Arlington (5-13, 2-8). Glacier Peak earned a bye for the 4A District 1-2 Tournament and will begin the double-elimination portion of the bracket on May 12 at Phil Johnson Fields in Everett.

Kamiak 6, Cascade 2

MUKILTEO — The Knights (13-6, 6-3) scored in five straight innings to earn a league win over the Bruins (6-13, 2-7). Kamiak’s Synclair Mawudeku (2-for-3, 2 2B, 3 runs) outscored Cascade alone while doubling twice, and Katie McBride (2-for-2, 2 SB, 2 RBI, run) brought in a game-high two runs. Cienna Cannon (1-for-4, 2B, run) doubled and scored for Cascade. Kamiak will play 4A District 1 playoff loser-out game on May 12.

Northwest

Lakewood 17, Squalicum 5 (5)

BELLINGHAM — The Cougars (7-10, 7-7) went 17-for-32 and put up five extra-base hits en route to their second-best scoring performance of the season. MJ Morales (3-for-3, 2 SB, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI, 3 runs) doubled and tripled to lead Lakewood in RBI. Katie Krueger (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 3 runs) also scored three times. Krueger also pitched the whole way, striking out eight while allowing four hits as Lakewood claimed its third straight win.

Non-league

Coupeville 5, Granite Falls 2

COUPEVILLE — A 14-strikeout day doomed the Tigers (10-8). Bella Frye pitched all six innings, allowing five hits to two Ks. Frye also went 1-for-3, bringing home an RBI on a double in the first.
