Job fair for teens: SummerPalooza, a resource and job fair for high school students, is set for 5 to 8 tonight at Glacier Peak High School, 7401 144th Place SE in Snohomish. Employers and community organizations will offer information on summer jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities. It’s free.

The Snohomish County Tourism Bureau plans a session on engaging travelers. It’s set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 18 at Staybridge Suites. 9600 Harbour Place in Mukilteo. To register, call 425-348-5802.

The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Business Before Hours Event is set for 7 to 9 a.m. Friday at the Tulalip Casino’s Canoes Cabaret. The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce’s Business Awards for 2010 will be presented. Admission is $23 in advance and $28 at the door. Chefs of Snohomish is set for 6 to 8 p.m. May 20 at A Manor of Wine, 610 First St., Snohomish. Chef James White of Java Haus &Catering will demonstrate the preparations of a four-course menu. Each course will be served with a wine chosen from the selection of Washington state wines at A Manor of Wine. Cost is $40 per person, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting community projects sponsored by the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce. Register by May 18 at 360-568-2526.

Good deeds

The Master Builders Care Foundation and the Remodelors Council will team up Saturday to build a wheelchair ramp for an Everett woman who has Parkinson’s disease as part of the Rampathon 2010 charitable program. They also will build a ramp in Snohomish.
