Kyla Smith is the new executive director of the Southeast/Mill Creek Family Branch of the YMCA of Snohomish County. She will oversee day- to-day operations and oversee the facility’s expansion. She replaces Gary Vangen, who retired in May.
Dr. Tyler Kimbrough has joined Puget Sound Ear Nose &Throat. Kimbrough, who has a doctorate degree and a medical degree from the University of Washington, is on the staff of Northwest Hospital and Stevens Hospital in Edmonds. The company has offices in Edmonds, Mill Creek and Northgate.

Chubbies Hot Dogs has opened its doors at 2005 Hewitt Ave. featuring Nathan’s hot dogs, Polish sausage, German sausage, pulled pork sandwiches pastrami sandwiches and a variety of drinks, chips and condiments. The Everett Area Chamber of Commerce’s 11th annual golf tournament is July 17 at Legion Memorial Golf Course. The event, sponsored by Banner Bank, will include a shotgun start, scramble format and an awards barbecue. The remodeled Mill Creek branch of KeyBank will hold an open house Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The branch, located at 16202 Bothell-Everett Highway, has new offices and conference rooms, a new teller line, flat TV screen panels with information and a technology upgrade. The Mill Creek Business Association will hold a reception and mini-trade show after hours Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce will host its morning networking event at 7:15 a.m. Friday at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The monthly event offers local business members a chance to network in an informal setting. Cost for members who register by today is $25. 425-774-0507.
Free classes in English as a second language and in basic computer operations will be offered by the South Everett Goodwill’s Job Training and Education Center, 228 SW Everett Mall Way.
