1st Security Bank has hired Jim Campbell to be a loan officer in the company’s Mountlake Terrace office. Campbell, who grew up on Mercer Island, is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University. He has several years of experience in both the insurance and mortgage industries.
Daryn Bundy has been recognized by Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring as the September Volunteer of the Month. The award was given for serving young people in the city of Marysville. Bundy, owner of Bundy Carpets, serves in a number of leadership positions throughout the city.
Jeri Wilkes, chief financial officer of United Way of Snohomish County, was recently named Finance Officer of the Year by United Way Worldwide at a national conference in Atlanta. Wilkes was nominated for the award because of her leadership in conducting lean training for nonprofits throughout Snohomish County. She has been with the organization for more than 14 years.
The City of Marysville named community development planning assistant Amy Hess as Employee of the Month for September. For the past six years, Hess worked as deputy city clerk in the Finance/Clerk Department. More recently, she was a planning assistant. Hess was recognized in particular for her fill-in work for the Utility Billing Department.
Stephen Sewell has been named the Department of Commerce’s economic development director for the state maritime industry. Sewell is a founding executive and senior vice president at LoadStar, a subsidiary of Hutchison Port Holdings. He has also served in senior leadership roles at the Port of Seattle.
Kudos
Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett has received an adult Level II Trauma Center certification by the Washington State Department of Health. It is the only medical center in Snohomish County with that designation. The only hospital in Washington with a higher level of acute trauma care is Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, which has a Level I designation.
Cascade Valley Hospital was chosen from more than 1,900 hospitals nationwide to receive the T-System Client Excellence Award. The award recognizes emergency departments which improve their quality of patient care and operational processes.
Seattle-based Group Health Cooperative announced that its Clear Care HMO Medicare Advantage health plan received an overall rating of five stars for Parts C and D, the highest rating available from the Centers for Medicare &Medicaid Services. This is the third year Group Health received the five-star rating.
