GRESHAM, Ore. — Boeing plans to invest up to $120 million in its Gresham plant, adding about 150 jobs in the next three years.
The Oregonian reports that the Chicago-based aerospace company will replace a 30-year-old chemical processing plant with a new facility to treat metals such as titanium and stainless steel. The Gresham operation makes components for nearly all Boeing aircraft. It currently employs about 1,500 people.
The Gresham City Council is to vote next month on a Boeing application for a property tax abatement.
