On the evening before it shows off its new 787 to the world, the Boeing Co. is approaching rapidly the 700-order mark for its Dreamliner.
Air Berlin placed the largest 787 order to date from a European carrier Saturday evening. The carrier ordered 25 787-8s in a deal worth $4 billion at list prices. Air Berlin also secured 10 options and 15 purchase rights for Dreamliners.
That brings Boeing’s Dreamliner tally to 677 pre-rollout.
Could there be more order announcements on 7-8-07?
