After a really rocky start to the year, the Boeing Co. is going out with a bang in terms of new jet orders.
This past week, Boeing landed 46 new aircraft orders, including 11 for its 787 Dreamliner from an unidentified customer. Altogether Boeing has 141 net orders for 2009 through Dec. 22.
The 46 orders also includes the previously disclosed request from Japan’s All Nippon Airways for five 777s and five 767s.
The U.S. Air Force ordered one 737 and an undisclosed customer or customers ordered 24 737s.
Boeing also logged in six cancelations this week: three 737s and three 777s.
