EVERETT – With the first major pieces of the Dreamliner arriving in Everett this month, Boeing Co. officials say their 787 remains on schedule.
We are on track to make first delivery to ANA in May of 08, said Scott Carson, president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Boeing will transport 787 components from its global partners locations to Everett using the Dreamlifter fleet of modified 747 cargo jets. The company anticipates the first delivery of parts to Everett, where final assembly will take place, later this month, with rollout of the first 787 on 07-08-07, Mike Bair, vice president of the 787 program, told reporters and analysts Monday.
Were on track for all of our major milestones, Bair said.
