Good news for Frontier Village: The Lake Stevens shopping center isn’t losing as many tenants as originally thought.
The owners of Bridges Pets have decided to keep a second store open in Frontier Village instead of consolidating operations into their newer Snohomish storefront.
The pet store started the moving process in June, but said today in an e-mail to the Herald that customers’ opinions factored into the decision to reopen.
“Taking into consideration many of our customers’ concerns over the past six weeks during the closing, we have made the decision to reopen this store,” owner Dan Eylander said. “We sincerely hope this will help meet the needs of those who can’t make it to the other store.”
Bridges Pets will reopen in Lake Stevens July 10. That location will primarily be a supply retailer, so customers will have to visit the Snohomish store to purchase animals.
Frontier Village has fallen on hard times lately, with its two main tenants shutting down. Lake Stevens officials were concerned for a while about sales tax losses.
