Briefs: Camp Fire adds administrator for south Snohomish County

Carole Williams has joined Camp Fire of Snohomish County as the club administrator serving the south Snohomish County area. She will be coordinating the startup of new Camp Fire Clubs in the Edmonds and Northshore school district neighborhoods. Camp Fire has announced that it is pleased to be expanding its club programs throughout the county.

Edmonds Center for the Arts celebrates 10th anniversary with gala, auction

Edmonds Center for the Arts 10th Anniversary Gala & Auction will be held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 24 at 410 4th Avenue North in Edmonds. This annual fundraising event features food, wine and auctions. Local celebrity John Curley will act as auctioneer. Tickets may be purchased online at www.ec4arts.org or email angela@ec4arts.org or call 425-275-9492.

Aerospace Alliance holds Oktoberfest at Diamond Knot in Mountlake Terrace

Join the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance for Oktoberfest featuring beer, bratwurst and aerospace networking from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 at Diamond Knot Brewery in Mountlake Terrace. Cost is $35 for PNAA members and $50 for non-members. Early registration is recommended but lederhosen is not required. For details, click here.

Snohomish County PUD receives $3.5 million from Clean Energy Fund

Snohomish County Public Utility District will receive $3.5 million in matching funds from the Washington Clean Energy Fund. The funding will provide support for engineering and construction work for locations to demonstrate new energy technologies including energy storage, a microgrid system, small-scale renewable energy and an electric vehicle-to-grid system. Design and construction is scheduled for the 2017-2019 timeframe.
