Master Marine offering new boat lines in Mount Vernon

Veteran boat, motor and trailer dealership Master Marine in Mount Vernon will begin to offer Sea Sport, Osprey &C-Dory boats with the 2017 model year. Master Marine at 333 E. Blackburn Road, Suite C, is one of the oldest boat dealers in the Northwest. Owner Larry Carpenter is a fisheries advocate and the vice chair of the Fish &Wildlife Commission for the state.

Livestock training event planned at Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe

To help livestock owners acquire their mandatory veterinary feed directives by Jan. 1, a free Livestock Round Pen will be held 7 to 9 p.m. July 7 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds longhouse, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. Register by July 5 at this website. The event is sponsored by Washington State University Snohomish County Extension, Snohomish Conservation District and the fairgrounds.

Snohomish County unemployment rate remains one of lowest in state

The state Employment Security Department reported that Snohomish County’s unemployment rate for April 2016 was 4.4 percent, and continues to be second lowest in the state after King County. The April unemployment rate for the state was 5.6 percent. Year over year, Snohomish County gained 4,900 jobs.
