Mill Creek’s FurKidz changes focus to fostering pets

Mill Creek’s FurKidz 911 Connection recently partnered with local area hospitals and support agencies to assist patients who are hospitalized or who are undergoing medical treatment and are temporarily unable to care for their pets. The nonprofit, originally an animal rescue organization, will now focus on offering a good temporary home for the pets of those in medical crisis.

Stevens Pass remains open despite below-average snowpack

Stevens Pass Mountain Resort remains open daily for top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding with the most chairlifts operating and largest terrain park in Washington State. The below-average snowpack in the Cascades has forced several regional resorts to close or severely reduce operations. Stevens Pass has benefited from a deeper lower-mountain snowpack.

Study underway on road to Arlington manufacturing center

Planning for the new Arlington Valley Road, a three-lane roadway between 204th Street NE and 67th Avenue, is underway. The roadway’s completion would provide access to new industrial and manufacturing sites in the Arlington/Marysville Manufacturing and Industrial Center south of the city, enabling high-tech jobs to be added in an area that is already a major contributor to the city’s economic growth.
